FUNDING AND GRANTS

99% OF ANIMALS WHO ARE METED OUT CRUELTY ARE NOT EVEN CONSIDERED ANIMALS

For most animal activists, animals are just dogs and cats that need rescues, for some only cows need to be rescued, some believe in the importance of wild animals for ecology however very few consider the plight of the animals in the food industry, the laboratories, the animals in entertainment business, animals in the fashion industry. We want to see each of these animals to be liberated.

90% OF ANIMAL WELFARE MOVEMENTS ARE STUCK IN BIG CITIES

In India, the animal welfare organizations are mostly located in large cities. Even tier II cities have no or very few organizations that are largely unsupported and solely dependent on the money put in by the founders themselves.  We intend to help animals in smaller cities which are ignored.

99% OF INSTITUTITONAL ANIMAL WELFARE DONATIONS ARE DEALT IN AN OPAQUE MANNER

In general, donations to large organizations are dealt with in a manner that leaves a lot for a donor to be desired. We plan to change this by letting money be allocated to specific animal or cause which direct feedback mechanism. This is similar to how crowdfunding organizations encourage person to person donations.

90 % OF DONORS AVOID DONATION BECAUSE THEY SUSPECT MISUSE OF DONATION.

The first response to a request for donation from ordinary citizens is  “I don’t know if my donation will reach the intended beneficiary.” We plan to change this by making 100 percent of the donations transparent.

99% OF THE STREET ANIMALS UNDER CARE ARE UNDER CARE OF INDIVIDUALS, NOT NGOS

If a street animal is hurt/harmed, the first person to respond is a local poor man/woman who cares for the animals in the area. Most street animals in India are under care of these people who are poor by monetary possessions but rich by their heart. They are content to share their little earnings with their furry friends until they get sick or injured. We wish to become a force that will help these people during those distressful times when a thousand rupees can be a life and death situation for their animal kids.

What will the happy animals fund do for the animals is reach those souls who have little hope or help. We will reach them through some of the most dedicated and committed volunteers across India working for the betterment of those whose voices are not heard.

We intend to change the way animal welfare is funded. We plan to bring in a change in how funds are collected and used. We plan to focus on animals that are used in food industry, research and religious sacrifices. Our second focus would be helping rescues and rehabilitation through small time volunteers and individuals who care for the animals in smaller towns and cities of India. The entire funding  shall be transparent and entire details of the funding source and utilization shall be available online for anyone to see.
