“Rural Sports’ and movies also use animals extensively. Our fight against jallikattu and animal races has been legendary. Our fight for  implementation of existing laws and judgements is a continuous process.
We have been constantly working against the issue of bullock cart races for more than 15 years. We won several cases in the High Court and the Supreme Court on the ‘rural sports’. We work closely with Ahmednagar SPCA who is a pioneer on the battle against this ‘sport’. We stop at least a dozen races each week that are being held illegally.
